Cross Country
Cross Country, Thursday 5th May Thalassa Park
On Thursday 5th May I took 29 students to Thalassa Park for Cross Country. Our students experienced and ran through both dark skies, rain, blue skies and sunshine in the one morning. They ran hard and were great sports no matter the conditions they encountered. All our 9 and 10 year olds ran 2km and our 11 and 12 year olds ran 3km.
2022 is our most successful Cross Country for Sheidow Park School. We had 6 students finish in the top 10 in their race and 4 students are eligible to go to State Day for Cross Country (finish in the top 6 of their age group). Plus lots of other great finishes and personal bests!
Congratulations to everyone that came and participated and also great effort to those that trained consistently but were unfortunately sick on the day of the event.
A massive thank you to the parents who came and watched and especially our amazing volunteers that cheered everyone on, rain or shine. Thanks Jemma, Karine and pre-service teacher Sam for your help coordinating and supervising our students.
