Room 11 – Class 2
This term, Class 2 (Room 11) has been focussing on a Maths Main Lesson which has included stories about Anansi, a trickster from West Africa, who frequently takes the form of a spider. He loves maths, he is cunning and tricky and uses his craftiness to try to get what he wants, though he is not very wise.
In our Main Lesson we have been learning our times tables through songs and rhythm,
as well as number patterns. Class 2 has enjoyed using gemstones to represent the times tables, and seeing the different patterns we have made, both drawing in our books and passing wool from person to person in a circle of 10.
