Room 8  Term 1 2022,
This term we have been focusing on writing a fantasy story. The things we are working on include noun groups and similes. We have been reading the Land of Stories as a class to see what a good fantasy story looks like. A lot of us are really enjoying this book! We even made a map based on the Land of Stories as you can see.
At the moment in math’s, we are exploring what the world would be like if it were a village of 100 people by looking at data and creating graphs. It has been exciting learning about the world we live in as` well as all the exciting mathematical concepts.
We weren’t expecting to be the leaders of the school this year because last year the year sevens did this job...but now they’re gone. We are all looking forwards to aquatics and the sports captains are excited to run sport day. Now that we are the oldest, we can enjoy being good role models and helping around the school! Although, we were delayed two weeks because of that pesky Covid-19.
