SAPSASA Athletics 2022

A HUGE congratulations to all students who attended the Southern Valley Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 31st August 2022. We had a fantastic day with students cheering each other on in events from shotput to long jump and running events. All our competitors tried their best in the new location, Reynella School, which changed the conditions a little due to being on grass. Many students threw further, jumped higher or longer and raced faster than ever before.
We had 13 students make the finals of either the 100 or 200m sprints, which was an outstanding effort. From the sprints and students competing in other events we came away with 12 medals (1st, 2nd or 3rd in an event). With all these fantastic results we have 7 students attending the next level of competition the
SAPSASA Athletics Championships at Bridgestone Athletics Stadium, Salisbury on Tuesday 20th September.

Finally thank you to our fabulous staff and volunteers that attended – Andrew, Brad, Gemma, Tim and Jo, we really appreciate your help with getting students to events on time, marshalling and supervision. We hope you had a great day.
